So here’s the thing: the story of the world is written in water, and in my travels I’ve found few places where it’s written as beautifully as on the Colorado Plateau.
I grew up in New England and never gave much thought to water’s impact beyond the weather, but when I first visited the southwest and fell in love with the desert, I gained a new appreciation for water’s role in shaping the landscape. Later, when I encountered the Colorado Plateau, I fell in love all over again – the vast sculptures of that landscape, carved over millennia, left me awestruck. I exposed miles of film trying to capture that feeling, and learned a lot. I’m still working on it. This website is a way for me to share all that, and hopefully get some instructive feedback to help me on my way.
I’m just getting started with this project, and it is very much a work in progress, as I learn about both this medium and my message. Thanks for your attention and patience.
